Surreally vivid and stunning flight. This was a gift for my better half, who's collective birthday, anniversary, and Christmas presents, all rolled into one said - wait for it - take a helicopter flight over Perth on a public holiday, when the air is clearer, and the views go on for...ever! And the views were exactly that, and the memory is forever as well. We have taken helio flights in Kauai, where the canyons and cuts cause a thrilling up and/or down draft, and that was great - but this topped them all. First, why this company? They answered the phone. And they had a flight that was longer and more extensive than the others. These flights are not cheap, but this was worth every single Australian cent. We were at the location at Jandakot at 7:30 am (0730 hrs) where the breeze was cool and various helios were warming up for their day's functions (the WA Police helio was running through its drills up so it could get up quickly if need be). Our Robinson was sitting patiently outside the hangar, and the pilot was carefully wiping down the windows for the flight. Height, weight (careful now), comms procedures, etc, all taken care of, and now power up - we were up to take off revs and with a (gentle) raise of the collective and positioning the cyclic and we were defying gravity. My better half didn't even notice we were off - she was busy realizing that's her in this thing! Rotate to the south and lift to about 100' and we were off with a call to the tower for information and permissions. We went up to approximately 1200' to be, as you looked outside the helio, confronted by the most crystal clear early morning view of Perth and the hills and the coast, and Rottnest in the distance that you could ever have imagined. It was Australia Day, and such pollution that there is in Perth skies was virtually nil, nil, nil...! Gorgeous views everywhere. Look

Fantastic experience from the crew at Jandakot Heli-Co. To find out that it is a family run business with over 36 years of experience in the industry was fantastic. Great staff and the pilots seem very well educated and safe operators. Would highly recommend flying with the crew here. They also have a very cute little dog called Banjo. He is extremely friendly and well trained so don’t be afraid to say hello. I had a trial introductory flight, and it was an amazing experience. I got a chance to one by one understand each of the controls, build up to taking full control of the aircraft. The experienced instructor created a safe and relaxed learning evenironment, that was super rewarding.I'd 100% do it again.
